Beer Bread
INGREDIENTS
3 cups flour (sifted)
3 teaspoons baking powder (omit if using Self-Rising Flour)
1 teaspoon salt (omit if using Self-Rising Flour)
1⁄8 cup sugar
1 (12 ounce) can beer
1⁄4 cup melted butter
DIRECTIONS
Pre-heat oven to 350
Mix dry ingredients
Add wet ingredients and mix
Pour into greased loaf pan
Bake for 50 minutes
Trash Bashing – Rockem Sockem Barbie With Fish
Made from trash I found while on bike rides. When I found them the robot was missing it’s head, Barbie missing her body and the fish out of water. The base I believe was a couch or other furniture leg (foot?).
Moo Goo Gai Pan
I made moo Goo Gai Pan using the recipe here. I used Morning Star Chick’n Strips and shiitake mushrooms. Was pretty good.
Mujaddara
Nova made Mujaddara using the recipe here. Was really good.
Trash Bashing – Old Bay Robot Thing
Vegan Beef And Broccoli
Ingredients
- Dehydrated Soy Pieces
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoons sesame oil
- ⅓ cup low sodium soy sauce
- 2 Tbsp maple syrup
- 1 cup leftover marinade
- 1 head broccoli cut in to florets
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons water
- sesame seed to garnish
Directions
- Marinade and hydrate the dehydrated soy chunks.
- Drain soy chunks and reserve the liquid.
- In a hot wok brown the soy chunks. Remove from the wok.
- Add a little more oil, then add the garlic to the pan. Sauté until soft.
- In a small bowl mix the sesame oil, soy sauce, maple syrup, and leftover marinade.
- Add mixture to wok along with broccoli
- In a separate bowl, combine cornstarch and water. Add to broccoli mixture. Bring to a boil, until sauce has thickened.
- Add the soy chunks back into the wok.
- Serve over rice with sesame seeds, if desired.
