Coffeeneuring Challenge 2018 – Coffee 7

Chilly and drizzling out I rode in to the big city to it’s new library and the coffee shop within. On the way there I stopped at my old grade school which is now a museum. The library is new but the coffee shop has been around a few years and has a couple other locations in town. After coffee I rode to the north end of town to check out a mural being painted on the side of an old, but still operating grain elevator. Supposedly once finished it will be the biggest mural in the world done by one artist. I made a Gecocuch score while there. I explored the area some and then made my way to downtown to see the progress on the demolition of the historic old baseball stadium. By now it was late in the day so I decided to head over to Nova’s work and hitch a ride home with her in the truck instead of riding back home in rush hour traffic.

  • Location: Reverie Coffee Roasters.
  • Date: 11-06-2018
  • Coffee: Mocha made with soy milk.
  • Details:  Coffee shop inside the new library. Including tax a little over $5 for this tiny cup. Why I get mocha I don’t know. It’s like drinking chocolate milk and goes down to easy and fast. This place roasts their own beans but I don’t know what this one was.
  • Miles: 20 or so.
  • Bike: Salsa Journeyman.

And thus ends another Coffeeneuring Challenge. I visited 7 different locations for coffee, 2 of them new. Used a new coffee making apparatus for my 1 coffee outside. Rode a different bike for each coffee.  Covered approximately 123 miles.

  1. Beautiful school you attended. Nice that they made it a museum rather than tear it down. Lots of interesting things on this ride, thanks for sharing.

    1. Yes it is. Was built in 1890. Our bike group toured it not too long ago. Was really neat as I hadn’t been in it since I left 45 or so years ago. Thanks for reading and commenting.
