American To Euro Bottom Bracket Conversion

I’ve been wanting to do this conversion for a while and finally got around to it. I didn’t really have a reason to do it and I didn’t have a particular bike in mind. I decided to convert the Heavy-Duti. Maybe it’ll make for a smoother pedal stroke, I don’t know.

  1. Nice video..I now only have 3 bikes..all with one piece cranks..seen the conversion kits, good to see your video…all the best for you and family..

    1. Thanks Cecil. Like I said in video I didn’t really have a reason, guess I just wanted to see if I could do it.

  2. I’d think it would be really nice having the number of crankset options this square taper bottom bracket will afford you, Randy. Also, the sealed bearings would be extra nice from a maintenance standpoint and, as you mentioned, probably would be smoother spinning, too. I really think the purple cranks against the yellow frame are really cool, too!

    1. Yes the sealed bearings definitely a plus. Nova had suggested I leave the crank purple and put it on the blue schwinn with green tires.
