Butchart Gardens, Canada 2005
In September of 2005 we took a trip to Canada to ride bikes and while there we visited the beautiful Butchart Gardens. I was just going through some old photos and thought I’d post these from the gardens.
This Morning’s Stroll Through The Garden
Spent a little time in the garden this morning before the extreme heat set in. Below is some of what I saw.
Moss on fence.

Tonight In The Pond
I spotted this small snake perched on a emerging lily pad. Also took a short video of the Gold Fish that the snake hasn’t eaten yet.
Horsetail
Bought this Horsetail for the pond a couple of days ago. I’ve had it before but can’t recall what happened to it. I suppose it didn’t survive a winter.
Stepping Stones
The Daughter & Grandkids are visiting from Alaska and have been staying with us for a few weeks. Last night the Grandkids made stepping stones for our garden.

I’d say our butterfly highlight was years ago when what seemed like hundreds of Monarch’s stopped in to feed on a Sedum plant.

Shed Mailbox
Painted the shed mailbox and filled it with Moss Rose. We have planted flowers in it before but it’s been a few years. Really have to stay on top of the watering.
