Ride With The Granddaughter

It’s been a few years since we’ve ridden with our Granddaughter. Since moving to Alaska several years ago she comes back once a year for the summer to visit. During the past few summers visits I never bothered to ask if she wanted to ride and figured she’d just say something if she wanted to which she never did.

Yesterday I finally asked, bribing her with the promise of a treat while we were out just like I used to do when she lived here and rode with me frequently. She accepted my invitation. The treat on this ride though was coffee and not pop or candy like it was in the past.

It is terribly hot here and probably even more so for someone coming from Alaska. I look forward to the day when she can visit at times other than the heat of summer.

When she was my bike buddy back in the day…

  1. Nice Randy. We just had some Grands visit from California who lived a mere 8 mile bike away when they lived here. We had a great ride and treats yesterday. Still at the sweeter treats stage ;’-).

    1. You’re in Washington if I recall correctly? I’m glad you still get to ride with yours on their visits. Our granddaughter did opt for what I call a foo foo coffee with plenty of sweet lol. Thanks for reading and the comment.
