Biking The Blue River And Chief Standing Bear Trails

We took a trip to northern Kansas and rode a rail-to-trail into Nebraska. The old railroad has different names and ownership depending upon the section. The Blue RIver trail begins in Marysville, KS and ends at the state line. The Chief Standing Bear begins at the state line and ends in Beatrice, NE. We camped overnight at a city park in Beatrice and then returned back to Marysville the next day. It was about 80 miles of riding over the 2 days. We had initially intended to continue on north to Lincoln, NE via the Homestead trail but changed our minds. More on that in a video I’ll release later.

Both were really nice and well maintained trails. As much as we’d have liked to explore the cities a little more and patronize some of the businesses we instead just kept a low profile.
