I really don’t go in search of bikes to buy anymore but these Marketplace ads show up in the sidebar when I’m on Facebook and this week I just couldn’t resist the temptation.
Earlier this week we brought home this Murray Cintro 10 speed mountain bike which I assume was produced in the early 90s and sold at Kmart or the like. We couldn’t resist those colors. Prior to this photo I replaced the tires and the saddle. If Nova finds it comfortable to ride, we may make some upgrades to it like swapping out the 1 piece crankset for a 3 piece and replacing the chrome steel wheels with aluminum.
Yesterday it was this GT Timberline. I believe it’s from around 1994. If nothing else, for me it’s worth what I paid just for some of its parts. We’ll see if it fits me and I keep it to ride or if I just borrow parts off of it for other projects.
