Weekend Recap And Coffeeneuring Challenge 2019 – 8

See all Coffeeneuring 2019 posts.

Saturday we rode in to the big city, had lunch, did some shopping and visited the veteran’s memorial.

Sunday included our Coffeeneuring ride. With our previous 7 coffee rides we’ve already finished the challenge but this being the 8th year of the challenge this was an optional 8 Is Great bonus coffee.

  • Date: 11-10-2019
  • Location: Cemetery.
  • Coffee: Seattle’s Best – Post Alley.
  • Miles: 12.
  • Bike: Specialized Crossroads.
  • Details: Beautiful morning. Light wind and temp in the mid 40s when we left. Rode to the cemetery where I have family buried and brewed up our coffee using the beer can alcohol stove, Stanley pot and Snow Peak pour over stand. We recently bought a burr grinder and used it for the first time. We added a touch of peppermint creamer to our coffee. Was really good. A young man dressed in black sat on a gravestone and read a book the entire time we were there.

So I’ve completed this year’s Coffeeneuring Challenge. 8 coffees at 8 different locations, 8 different bikes ridden and I think I did pretty good with my Coffee on The Cheap theme.

After coffee we rode back home, ate lunch, I changed in to shorts and then we took off again. We rode to another cemetery where we know people that are at rest. We then rode farther to the QT before returning home. Nova counted her QT cold brew as her 8th coffee. I had a kombucha
