Weekend Getaway – LocoJoe Bikes

Saturday morning we rode in to the big city to attend our friend’s 25th annual Bicycle Bar Tour and Cajun Food Dinner. From our host’s house we rode to lunch, to several bars and a brewery, then back to their house for a Cajun style dinner that they prepare. Once the party was over we left their house and realized we were just in time to catch Los Lobos who was performing at the city’s River Fest event. The concert was great albeit short. Being tired from the day’s events and being pretty late after the concert, we decided to check in to a hotel for the evening instead of riding home. We had brought along a change of clothes knowing we might decide to do this. The next morning after breakfast at the hotel we rode around the city checking out a new coffee shop and a new plant-based taco vendor before heading home. Both were good. Was a great little weekend getaway.
