Week In Review

Monday I rode around outside of town and made a stop at the cemetery where I had coffee outside.

Tuesday I rode in to the city to do some shopping. Picked up a hat at the thrift store. While at the grocery store I ate the salad bar for lunch. On the way home I picked up a snack at the c-store and a license plate that I found on the road. When I arrived home my new panniers were on the porch.

Wednesday was another ride in the rural. Stopped to chat with the cows and to inspect some dumped trash.

Thursday I rode to the casino, exploring and playing around along the way.

Friday was back into the city to photograph a couple of abandoned houses that I knew would soon be razed. I arrived too late. I then went to the grocery store for BBQ sauce and while there drank an iced coffee. After that I went exploring, to Taco Bell for lunch and more exploring.

  1. That folding bike looks killer. So does the other. I have those same Bass shoes btw. Comfy and just chunky enough for riding. PedJam here in Iowa this weekend, hope it’s dry enough. Have you ever pondered the idea of building a picnic box for a bike? I’m doing one soon I hope, for my Rasta themed 3 speed AMF. I’ll put up pictures on http://www.gravelo.blogspot.com someday soon. Keep on truckin’ you two!

    1. Thanks on the bikes. The folder is a Fuji, a Marlboro promotional model. The shoes are Chrome’s Kursk model. They are SPD compatible (or whatever it’s called) which I don’t use leaving the filler plug things in place since I ride on platform pedals. We’ve been attending Pedjam Missouri for several years now and attended once in Iowa when it was on the Wabash. Just couldn’t justify spending the time an money to go to Iowa this year though. Picnic box sounds like a neat idea. I’d like to see what you come up with. I’d also like to see the Rasta bike. I’ve got you in my news reader for when you post again. Thanks for reading and commenting.
