Weather was beautiful with single digit wind when I left yesterday. Part way into the ride I had a flat. Found a shaded spot to fix it and then pedaled on to my destination. Later when it was time to return home, the wind was around 20 mph with ridiculous gusts I would have to ride against. I made a half-hearted attempt but it was nearly stopping me in my tracks. Wasn’t in the mood. I made a phone call and Nova came to pick me up in the truck. I have made a distress call before due to a flat I couldn’t get fixed but never due to wind.
The older I get, the stronger the wind becomes ….
ahh that’s it lol.
At our age we longer need to tough it out. Life’s too short to battle headwinds!
