Transforming 2 Roadmasters

Over the past 2 months I”ve come across 2 cheap old Roadmaster mountain bikes that have been dumped.

In August I spotted 3 bikes at a rack along a trail. It appeared to me since these bikes were non-functioning and in bad shape that someone had placed them there in hopes they would be rescued. I was happy to oblige and took the Roadmaster Hurricane Ridge.

I stripped it down, painted it and put it back together with different tires, seat and handlebars. I eliminated the front derailleur and 2 of the chain rings. It”s now a 5 speed.

Check out the brakes…

In September I spotted these bikes and parts next to a dumpster while on a ride. When I went back later in the day with the truck to get them, the only thing left was the Roadmaster Mt Fury (the one that”s upside down).

I stripped, painted and reassembled with mostly different parts including a singlespeed coaster brake rear wheel.

I”m still playing with the configuration of it.
