Trek 800 Sport Update

Although it”s been right around freezing in the garage I couldn”t help but start working on the bike. Over 3 different days I”ve worked until my hands got too cold.

With both tires being totally flat and off the rim with one rim strip broke and hanging out, I was surprised to find both tires had heavy duty tubes and they are holding air. I just had to put in one rim strip. I re-greased the front end and adjusted the front brakes. Being so cold the grease was no fun to work with.

I oiled the chain and adjusted the rear brakes and the rear derailleur. I found the bottom bracket was loose so this meant a trip to the LBS to purchase a special tool to tighten it. I already had the proper tool to remove the crank arm that I purchased last year. The bottom bracket is now snug. I added a water bottle cage.

Now I need to adjust the front derailleur.
