Oklahoma is not the only state to have a tree bike. Here”s one in my town I photographed earlier this year. Admittedly though, not nearly as cool as the old bike above. Note the multiple layers of chain-link fence to keep would be art thieves out. Also it appears the bike behind it is being swallowed up by the earth.
Then of course there”s the one in Oregon that occasionally makes the rounds on Facebook with a false story attached about a boy leaving his bike leaned against a tree when he went off to war. The untrue story prompted me to add the caption you see on this photo.
All this reminds me of this display of bike in trees we spotted in Iowa along The Cedar Valley Nature Trail several years ago.
