I couldn’t resist purchasing the Mongoose Beast “Fat Bike” just to play around with. It’s a single speed with coaster brake. The wheels are 26″ and the tires 4-1/4″ wide. I stripped it of it’s Mongoose markings, reflectors and chainguard. I also swapped the 18t rear sprocket with a 20t and would probably change that to a a 21 or 22 if I had one. It’s a fun bike to ride. Although it looks like a rugged off road bike it’s marketed as a Cruiser bike as I believe it should be with only a coaster brake and no gears.
The Granddaughter had spent the night and helped me assemble it. Later in the day the Daughter and Grandsons came over and helped me test ride it. Then we rode to Great-Grandmas and Great Grandpas house.
