This morning our friend Tim and myself went for a ride along the Arkansas River path. We started at Chapin Park where they appear to be moving right along on the new path that will pass through it. The path is not yet ride-able so we had to make our way to the river path by other means.
In the photo above you can see how burnt up things are around here due to the extensive heat and lack of moisture.
At one point we had to push the bikes through the grass up an embankment to detour the dam construction. When we went to check for thorns we noticed Tim”s tire had a cut in it. We then made our way over to a LBS where our friend and shop owner made a repair to it.
It was overcast and even a couple sprinkles when we started. We ended our ride just as the clouds passed and the sun started bearing down on us.
