Now that I”m retired we”ve decided we probably need to learn to travel a little cheaper than we usually do. One thing we always included in our trips were visits to the local bike shops. We would always purchase shop shirts if they sold them and many times we”d leave a bike shop with a lot more than just their t-shirt. We”d also buy trail shirts if they were available. So eliminating these purchases would save some money. On this past trip we didn”t actively seek out any shops and didn”t happen upon any that were open. We did though make a stop at the Flat Tire Lounge on the High Trestle Trail in Iowa and left with one of their shirts to add to the collection. So coming home with just 1 shirt not a total bust at our attempt to be thrifty. We also had plans to cut back other ways also but blew those.
