Following The Yellow Brick Road And A Few Others

On today”s ride I set myself some tasks to accomplish and destinations to reach.
First was to check out a path that was written about in today”s paper. I started out South on the Arkansas River Path and rode it North and over the Keeper of the Plains bridge and on to the afore mentioned path.
Next was to see the progress of the new Nomar Plaza. I headed over to the Midtown Bike Path and rode it till it”s end taking Market street the rest of the way. While there I took a photo of one of my favorite signs. The Midtown Bike Path ends right at my favorite restaurant so I couldn”t resist stopping for lunch even though it was a little early and I guess I was supposed to be eating lunch a little later with family that is in town.
After my awesome lunch I took 17th street over to the Canal path down to the 3rd Street Canal Path which I had never ridden. I followed the 3rd Street Canal Path to it”s end, cut down to the 1st street bike lane and rode it to it”s end at Edgemoor. I took the 2nd Street bike lane to get back to the Canal Path along the way stopping to check out the Frank Lloyd Wright designed home (more on it here). I had been wanting to ride these new bike lanes. Back on the Canal Path I rode south against the wind towards the sewer treatment plant which must be working overtime this Thanksgiving weekend. Pew! I took Wassal street to get me back to the Arkansas River Path in South City. I stopped in at Watson Park to ride the Yellow Brick Road. I exited Watson Park on McLean Blvd and took it back to the Arkansas River Path and then to the truck. It was a great 25 mile ride.
