This bike started out as a 1960 Schwinn Tornado I bought on Ebay. The frame, fork, handlebars, chainguard, seat post and head badge are original. The frame, fork, chainguard and wheels are powder coated. I spray painted the seat post, bars and gooseneck. “John Deere” is a vinyl decal I had made.
I thought I had come up with a unique theme for this bike till my wife happened upon Nirve’s JD bike on the web. At least it got me a seat. John Deere did put out bicycles from 1894 -1900 and again in 1972 -1976.
