Fat Tire Flyer – Book Review

I recently purchased the book Fat Tire Flyer: Repack and the Birth of Mountain Biking by Charlie Kelly.
I first learned of Charlie Kelly when I came across his website several years ago while researching a bicycle. I spent quite a bit of time on his website really enjoying what I was reading and seeing and wondering why no one else was talking about this time in bicycle history. A couple years later others took notice, and now it”s all the buzz.

I wasn”t expecting much from the book physically or in it”s content. I thought it would be a cheaply made paper back type book with it”s content just rehashing what I”d already read and seen but I was pleasantly surprised. The book itself is a lot nicer than I had imagined it would be, suitable for the coffee table, and the content is not just rehashing what”s already out there. It goes more in depth to what”s already been told plus so much that hasn”t. Charlie is a good story teller and from videos and interviews I”ve seen of him, he seems to be a really likeable guy and that makes reading his words even more enjoyable.
