I just watched your video on swapping the chainring from a Shimano, Alivio crankset to a not available. I just ran into the same problem on a build I did last week. I made an adapter to link the Alivio crank to a 110 BCD sprocket. I Usually use Origin8 sprockets.
I saw your video, right after I started the bracket, so I made two. I would gladly send one to you. If you have an address or PO Box I’ll drop it in the mail.
I just discovered your channel and have been enjoying your videos. I especially like your “about this bike” series. I look forward to hearing from you. Keep pedaling.
First off thanks for watching our videos. A new About This Bike will be out Friday. As for the chainring… I’ve since been told by multiple people there’s nothing wrong with them. What I thought was wear(on both bikes chainrings) I’m told is the way they are made to aid in the shifting. I put the original crankset back on and it works fine. So I’ll kindly pass on your offer but that is really generous of you. Funny how the saddle/seat post noise led me so far astray. I got another bike out of the whole ordeal though lol.
Thanks again. Stay safe and happy riding.
Oh Randy you’re pretty funny! One thing leads another…
lol yep.
