I really enjoy your YouTube channel and now that I have seen your web page, I am inspired by your creativity. I really like cruiser bicycles, three speeds and practical rides. I was wondering where you get your parts? I enjoy fixing up old bicycles too but often have issues finding parts for cruisers. Cruiser tires, seats, etc…Could you share your sources for parts please?
Thank you. I really don’t have any one go-to place for parts. I get them a few different places/ways… a local bike shop, online like Amazon, Ebay and bike specific online retailers, our local yearly bike swap meet and occasionally I’ll find a dumped bike or be given one and I’ll strip it of parts if I don’t save the entire bike. There is a bike co-op type thing here that sells used bikes and parts but I’ve only visited it once. I need to check it out again. Lately most of what I’ve bought has probably been through Amazon. I did bring home a couple frames and a few parts from the recent swap meet. Sadly I haven’t been to my LBS since the pandemic. Sounds like they were sold out of everything anyway though.
A lot of what I do is just rehashing of the same stuff. I have several bikes that I leave built up and ride frequently but then I also have other frames and parts that I’ll build up, ride for a while till I get bored with it, tear down and then later build again in a different configuration.
Thanks again for watching the videos and now checking out our website. Feel free to drop a comment here using the Contact form or on Youtube with any other questions I might be able to answer or if you want to tell me what you’re up to.
