Willard Munger Trail – Minnesota

During our stay in Duluth we rode a portion of the Willard Munger rail-to-trail. The trail runs from Duluth, 70 miles to the town of Hinckley. We rode it from Duluth to the town of Mahtowa which is 26 miles, and back. It’s a nice paved trail in the trees with a couple of river and stream crossings. At our turn around point in Mahtowa we stopped for snacks at TJ’s Country Corner. The town of Carlton is roughly midway in this 26 mile segment and we stopped there on our return for a beverage.
