Sunday’s Bluz Cruz
Yesterday we participated in the monthly old bikes ride known as the Bluz Cruz. Just 4 of us showed up. Nova rode her Schwinn and I rode the Western Flyer I picked up at the swapmeet earlier this year which the rear hub started slipping about halfway through the ride. Every so often the crank would turn a half rotation or so without engaging the hub which made for an interesting few miles. We cruised around the north end of the city and did a little exploring. While out I made my 200th Geocouch find. We also stopped at the hospital to visit a bike friend who just had heart surgery.
My 200th Geocouch. Checking out old cars. Checking out old cars. Riding past the guinness record holding mural. Tim just got this Schwinn Collegiate for free. Brad’s Colson rear-steer tandem. Exploring around an abandoned grain elevator. My bike at a new mural. Brad and his tandem. Tim’s Schwinn at new mural. Nova at the hospital. Parking bikes at the hospital.
