Summit County Colorado
After our ride on the North Idaho Centennial Trail it was time to head back to Kansas. We decided to route ourselves through one of our favorite places Frisco, Colorado and do one last ride there. On the way there we spent nights in Idaho Falls, Idaho and Green River Utah. Outside of Salt Lake City we had to change our route due to forest fires. We briefly stopped in Moab and walked around.

We arrived in Frisco late afternoon. We checked in to our hotel, unloaded the bikes and rode to the 2 breweries in town, Outer Range and Highside, then back to our hotel. The following morning we rode the Dillon Dam path around Lake Dillon, up and over Swan Mountain on the Swan Mountain path and then connected to the Blue River Rec Path which we took to Breckenridge where we sampled a couple of beers at Broken Compass brewery. After, we took the Blue River Rec Path back straight back to Frisco and had a veggie burger at Ollie’s. We then rode around Frisco a bit before returning to our hotel for the evening.

Ride video. Apologies for the vertical clips.
I really enjoyed that bike path and the town of Frisco when I was up there for the Copper Triangle. The first day I was there, I rode up Vail Pass from Frisco ….. believe me, it’s a lot harder from Vail …. Still ….. I really enjoyed the ride up on the east side. You two need to try my Gold Belt Tour ride sometime ….. I think you’d like that one.
