Breaking The Law, Watermelon And A Goat
Today we rode to the near-by town of Clearwater for a mid-morning snack. We stopped at the c-store there where we purchased Chex mix and a cold water each which we took to the city park to consume. We had the park to ourselves. At about the time we were ready to go, a car pulled in to the parking lot. A lady hopped out, approached us and then told us we were not allowed to be there and needed to leave. “Didn”t you see the sign?” she asked. She then pointed to and read a sign that was in front of the shelter where we were seated. We said something to the effect of whatever, we”re leaving anyway. We then hung around longer than we had planned, to not give her the satisfaction of watching us leave.
We then decided to ride up the street to the grocery store to see if they had a watermelon so we each could get a photo we needed for Bike Ride & Seek. We picked up 1/4 of a melon and then headed out of town to the river, as a lake or river was required for the photo.
Nova posing with the watermelon which she is not fond of so she didn”t partake.
I”m not a watermelon eater either but I didn”t let that stop me. It was actually pretty good. Whatever variety it was had real small seeds so there was no need to pick them out.
That was the final item Nova needed for Bike Ride & Seek. I”m still looking for a toilet in a yard.
Whenever we ride this route I get a kick (no pun intended) out of this goat, that if not hanging out front with the family and the dog, just chills out on the front porch.
