Rack And Roll

The other day I posted the photo below on our Facebook Page of what I seriously thought was a bike rack at or local donut shop. I have seen racks of this type before.

I joked how my old bikes would be to heavy for me to lift on to that rack.

This morning the other person whose name is in this blog”s title, alerted me that this isn”t a bike rack and the shop has a traditional rack at the building. I had to go investigate.
What”s left of the apple-cinnamon roll I ate in the name of research.

Sure enough here is their actual rack.

I”m really not a donut eater so I have rarely visited this establishment, maybe just one other time. When we did I don”t recall there being a bike rack but I do recall the man behind the counter expressing an interest in our bikes.
So I assume the bike out front which stays there 24/7, is a sign to indicate they are a bike friendly business. That”s great to see and the icing on the donut is that the city is currently working to put in a new multi-use path that will go right in front of the shop. I need to try and support this bike friendly business even if it”s just buying a cup of coffee.

Side note: I think the bike out front would look better perched atop the bar it”s currently hanging from and running parallel to the sign.
