Tired Of Waiting
A new path has been under construction in the big city for what I believe is going on 2 years now. A while back the construction came to a halt. From what I”d observed, it was mostly completed except for where the path intersects with streets. I”d been patiently waiting for the path to be finished but I could wait no more. Today I trucked a bike to an existing path and rode it to where it met the new path. I rode the new path out and back with no problem and then continued riding on a few other paths.
This new path is a rail-to-trail built on an old railroad bed. It will be concrete with a length of 2.5 miles and will be named the Redbud Trail. Some of the things the path passes by or near are 2 cemeteries, 2 golf courses, a hospital and Wichita State University. While on the trail I remembered I had posted on our clubs website about an upcoming meeting where the public could give input on the finished design of the path. When I got home I went to check and see when the meeting was and found out it was yesterday.

Map of my route for my local bike riding friends. The path between the 2 red markers is the new Redbud Trail.
