D & L Trail – Pennsylvania

D & L Trail – Lehigh Gorge State Park Trail in Pennsylvania. This is a 26 mile, crushed stone, rail-to-trail between the towns of Jim Thorpe and White Haven. We started at a trail head in the Lehigh Gorge State Park. From there we rode to the town of White Haven where we had lunch and then back for a total of about 43 miles. This is a really nice, easy riding trail that follows the Lehigh river with mile and historical markers, waterfalls, remains of old locks and dams and beautiful fall foliage. After the ride we ate and walked the streets in the beautiful historic town of Jim Thorpe. We stayed nights in the town of Lehighton. The night prior to the ride we ate at Alfies in Lehighton. After the ride we ate at Molly Maguires Pub & Steakhouse in Jim Thorpe.
