One Thing Led To Another
We were sitting outside this morning discussing over coffee what needed to be done today before the heat set in. We decided it was riding. We trucked the bikes out to our local rail-to-trail the Prairie Sunset with intentions of being back home before noon. After riding the trail out and back we decided while we were out West to drive on to a cemetery near the town of Pretty Prairie where some of my family on my Mother”s side are buried. Once we were through walking the cemetery we decided we”d drive a little farther to the town of Hutchinson to eat at El Potrillo a Mexican restaurant we like. Feeling guilty after eating a big plate of Carnitas I suggested we should ride some more so we unloaded the bikes in Hutch and rode the Jim P Martinez Sunflower Trail out and back (If this sounds familiar, I ate and rode here with Mom & Pop last week). While riding I checked the temperature and it was 100 degrees. After the ride we drove to another cemetery near Hutch where more family are buried. We then drove back and in to the town of Pretty Prairie (home to Kansas largest night time rodeo) and then home, arriving early this evening.
