Flamed Chopper

Newer Schwinn frame.
I modified by cutting the two cantilever tubes from the seat tube and from the down tube. Then using a ratcheting tie down strap looped around the rear drop-outs and the head tube, I cinched it which pulled the seat tube and the front half of the bike back (do this with crank in place or bottom bracket might collapse). A friend welded it back together. This lowered the bike and put the seat back farther. Since the bike was lower I had to use a crank with shorter arms. I cut off the cantilever tubes which were now extending past the down tube. I added flame tires, flame seat, flame sprocket, layback seat post & new bars and stem. I originally used a Schwinn type springer fork and later suspension forks off an old Huffy mtn bike. Painted the chainguard to match the seat and grips. The rear wheel I laced around a Bendix 2 speed kickback hub.
I eventually gave this bike to a friend.
