CHS Mane Stage Presents “The Pajama Game”
The Tony® Award-winning Best Musical Revival of 2006, “The Pajama Game” comes to the Campus High School Mane Stage on Friday and Saturday, February 24 and 25 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, February 26 at 2 p.m.
Tickets are $5, Senior Citizens and children under school age are free. Doors will open 30 minutes before production (6:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 1:30 p.m. on Sunday).
A collaboration between the theatre, vocal and instrumental departments, the high-energy score of “The Pajama Game,” by Richard Adler and Jerry Ross, brims with popular hits and musical theater standards such as “Hey There,” “Steam Heat” and the hilarious “Hernandos Hideaway.” Based on Richard Bissells novel, “7 ½ Cents,” “The Pajama Game” tells the story of Babe, a feisty employee representative who finds her match in the pajama shop superintendent, Sid. Overflowing with pajamas, love, singing and conflicts between the labor union and the management, the real story is the seven-and-a-half-cents-per-hour raise the pajama factory workers are demanding to keep their salaries comparable with other garment-workers pay.
The cast includes Campus High School students Jake Lewis, Aaron Hein, Robbie Gerdes, Brandon Cline, Ashley Foster, Brody Huckleberry, Cayla Hoover, Amanda Zogelmann, Haley Trask, Devon Hake, Holly Rodman, Mary Wills, Kellie Elmegreen, Libby Heflin, Brett McGlothern, Zach Shinkle, Shelby Bettles, Olyvia Crum, Autumn Cumley, Victoria Hutchison, Erica Kan, Kelsey Kendall, Anna Rosendale, Morgan Shetler, Melody Springs, Max Ward, Kimmie West and Sidney Wilson.
