The director of the Chamber of Commerce is new to the position, but familiar to residents and business owners in Haysville.
“I am so pumped about what is happening in Haysville,” said Tim Massey, new Chamber director. “I am excited that I can continue to deal with the businesses and people I did before, just in a different scenario.”

A run away cow from South of Haysville took a leisurely stroll down West Grand this morning. It got as far as Colt Stadium before it was persuaded by the owner and police to turn around and head back home.

Campus Colts won their double header against Wichita South this past Tuesday at home 18-3, 16-1.

Haysville’s new McDonalds opened up this morning to great fanfare. People camped out overnight to be one of the first 100 served and receive free Big Macs for a year.

Early this evening people started claiming their place in line to be one of the first 100 people to be served at the new McDonalds opening tomorrow morning. Those first 100 will receive free Big Macs for a year. You can also register to win an Apple iPad 3, an HDTV or a Camcorder. The ribbon cutting is tomorrow morning at 9:30 featuring the Campus High School Pep Band.
The pond at Riggs park appears to attract more visitors empty than it does full.

The City of Haysville, in conjunction with the Wichita Area Metropolitan Area Planning Organization and Sedgwick County, will host a discussion regarding future improvements to Meridian Avenue on Thursday, March 29, 2012 beginning at 7:00 pm. This workshop will be held at Unified School District 261’s Learning Center, located at 150 Stewart Street, Haysville, KS 67060.
This is an opportunity for the public to provide valuable input on such topics as vehicular safety, pedestrian crossings, sidewalks, roadway improvements, as well as a broader discussion of the future of land development along Meridian.
This event is an important part of the creation of a Corridor Plan for Meridian Avenue from 55th Street South to 95th Street South. Over the next several months, participation from community is vital for a successful plan and we look forward to hearing your comments at this meeting.
The Cowskin Creek must be quite the water hazard for disc golf players at Haysvilles disc golf course in Riggs Park. Seldom lately do I pass this area without seeing someone wading or even seining the creek for sunken discs. Not being a disc golfer I had to do a Google search to find the price of a disc. With discs costing anywhere from $8 to $50, I guess its worth braving the cold, mucky water.
The course appears to be getting a lot of use even on rainy and windy days.

The West Haysville Baptist Church has a free muffin breakfast for 250 people.
