The Haysville Heat won Back to Back Jayhawk League Titles. So that means in two years being in Kansas the Heat have not skipped a beat. Back to back NBC Midwest Regional Titles & Back to back Jayhawk League Titles. The Heat stand at 22-12 Jayhawk League Record and 32-14-1 Overall Record
In 2009 The Heat Baseball Team moved from Lake Havasu City , AZ to Haysville , Kansas . The Heat has been a very successful organization for over 20 years and has always participated in the community. The Heat has adopted families for Christmas, helped the city with a citywide clean-up day, and has had fundraisers for charities.
Dick “Chief” Twyman, general manager and co-owner of the team passed away on January 28th 2011 , leaving the team to his son Rick Twyman, head coach and co-owner.
The Heat wants to thank all of their sponsors and those who have helped out in this unfortunate time, but the Heat needs more. When Chief passed away the fundraisers were not complete and much of the funds that should have been collected or raised went UN-noticed. Due to the nature of Chiefs estate, Rick has been busy trying to help settle it and has not had time for much fundraisers.
THE HEAT IS ASKING FOR HELP FROM THE COMMUNITIES OF HAYSVILLE, WICHITA AND SURROUNDING AREAS. They are short of funds to run the season and are looking for sponsors, donations, and even host families. The Heat has 25 young men that have signed contracts, and can’t find another team to play with now on such short notice. “THE SEASON MUST GO ON!” These young men count on this team in order to advance to the next level, and to keep playing college baseball at a competitive level in order to maintain their school scholarships.
PLEASE CALL, E-MAIL, OR SEND IN, DONATION, INFORMATION TO BE A SPONSOR, OR TO GET INFORMATION IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO BECOME A HOST FAMILY TO ONE OF THESE PLAYERS! We need your help. We are pressing forward to have a successful and memorable season and to bring home the World Series title for Chief and in his name. PLEASE HELP US MAKE THIS THE BEST SEASON IT CAN BE BY BEATING ALL THE ODDS AND SETTING RECORDS THAT CAN’T BE BROKEN!
