James H. Keller of Phoenix, Arizona has been arrested in connection with the 2006 fire at the Honky Tonk night club that was located in the 7400 block of South Broadway. The fire broke out in the early morning hours of May 12th 2006. The building was destroyed.
Reports indicate that Keller was the manager of the club at the time of the fire and had since moved to Arizona.
Ground was broke today for Haysvilles new senior center. The new building will be located behind the Main Street Place senior residences on Karla between Main and the railroad tracks.
The Senior Center is currently located at 711 E Grand in the building that was once City Hall.

Dr. Stephen Schneider is again back in the news. He and his wife have both been indicted by a Federal Grand Jury and are facing criminal charges relating to their distribution of pain medications from their Haysville clinic.

The Center provides Holiday dinners for approx 40 Haysville seniors who are housebound, approx 20 families who are down on their luck, and in conjunction with a regional effort will also contribute to provide approximately 90 more dinners to families around the area.
Buy a frozen turkey and take it to Kim at the senior center….
You will receive a warm thank you, and the satisfaction of knowing that you have done a good thing and helped some fine people.
They also can use: Boxed macaroni and cheese, and cornbread.
This Union Pacific steam trained passed through Haysville this morning. Onlookers gathered around the tracks to witness this rare scene. Steam trains were phased out by the 1950s being replaced by the diesel trains we know today.
