Nor ski or swim in it. Its probably best just to stay away from Riggs Pond till the harmful Algae bloom is over. Contact with the water could lead to illness. I think looking at it might even be bad for your eyes. Its bright green color may burn your retnas. Keep your pets and livestock away also.
FYI its never a good idea to drink water from the pond.
Kent Foley, President of Arrest A Pest — Pest Solutions says that large brown widow has been removed from a home in Haysville, Sedgwick County, KS. It is believed to be the first found in the state. The spider is now residing safely in an enclosure in Foley’s office.

Incentives introduced in February for new homeowners and businesss owners have done so well that the city council recently voted to extend the program.
The $1,500 homeowner grants can be used toward closing costs, landscaping, a water bill credit or a combination of all three.

A new franchisee for the Detroit-based carry-out chain has signed a lease on 1,350 square feet in the Wichita suburb. Steve and Jennifer Smith say they plan to open up for business in September.
“The market’s good for a new pizza place down here,” Steve Smith says.
At the last Haysville City Council meeting the Mayor appointed Jeff Whitfield as the citys new Police Chief to replace current Chief Mike McElroy who is expected to retire.
At the same meeting the Mayor appointed Janie Cox to the position of City Clerk and Treasurer to replace Beverly Rogers who will be also retiring.
