Police responded to a shooting Saturday night, at 300 East Taylor, in Haysville.
Chief Jeff Whitfield says a 911 call was made from the residence. Upon arriving, police found an occupant of the home, who appeared to have suffered a self-inflicted wound.
No condition on the injured person has been released.
One person is treated for smoke inhalation after a house fire in Haysville.
Firefighters from Wichita, Sedgwick County and McConnell arrived to smoke and flames coming from a home in the 700 block of W. Chelsea at around 1 p.m. on Friday.

Parents of a Campus High School student protested outside the Haysville school Thursday afternoon, alleging their daughter was severely bullied and that school officials did not respond appropriately.
A group of about 50 Campus students staged a counterprotest along 55th Street South, holding signs that read “Honk if you love Campus” and “Campus is safe.”
Police officers are searching for a man who robbed a Haysville bank this morning.
It happened shortly after 11 a.m. at the Community Bank, located at 371 N. Main in Haysville.
The suspect is described as a white man in his late 40s to early 50s, about 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing 200 pounds. He was wearing a gray beanie, dark sunglasses and a gray sweatshirt with the sleeves cut off with “Denim Jeans and Company” on the chest in yellow.
