Haysville Healthy Habits Coalition Town Hall Meeting

The Haysville Healthy Habits Coalition is hosting a Town Hall Meeting regarding underage drinking on March 29th. (the same as the Mulvane Town Hall meeting some of you may have heard about on the news last night).
The Town Hall will be held at the Haysville Learning Center from 6:00-7:00. Refreshments will be served.
We will have a couple speakers, one is a surprise guest! Please come by and show your support to your community coalition.
If you own a business and would like to sponsor us, its VERY easy! it just requires posting our flyers at your place of business and in return we will display your business name for the full hour at the Town Hall and your business name will be published on NEW Flyers that are going out March 19th.

Gazebo Raising

From the Haysville Community Library blog…

The Haysville Friends of the Library, Haysville Pride, and the local Veterans of Foreign Wars, among others, have volunteered their time and energy to meet between 8:30 and 9:00 AM on Saturday morning for our own contemporary interpretation of an old-fashioned barn-raising. Others are encouraged to volunteer, and every hand will be welcome – and fed a hot lunch. With good luck, and your help, we’ll finish by early afternoon.

Citizenship Day

The Haysville Community Library blog has posted photos from todays Citizenship Day event.

What is Citizenship Day you ask? From www.patriotism.org

Every September 17th (unless it falls on a weekend or other holiday) Constitution Day, also called Citizenship Day, is celebrated to mark the anniversary of the ratification of the U.S. Constitution. This is one of the newest federal holidays to be established by Congress, as it was passed in just 2004. Citizenship Day was the name given to the holiday prior to its official designation.
