When Nelson Elementary School opens for the 2012 – 2013 school year on August 15, students and parents will see the addition of much needed parking spaces. Last week, workers from APAC Paving of Kansas brought in heavy machinery to remove old tennis and basketball courts on the north side of the Nelson’s grounds to make way for a new parking lot. To enhance traffic flow, the parking lot will have entrances/exits from North Delos on the east and Nelson Avenue on the west. (USD 261 Photo)
