Valentine’s Day Dinner and Dance

First Christian Church is hosting a Valentine’s Day Dinner and Dance on Saturday, February 11th.

There will be a lasagna dinner at 6:30 then The Tim Henry Band will play romantic tunes from the 30s and 40s. Tim is a well-known jazz pianist and has performed at events such as the Airmen’s Ball and the Senior Ball for Sedgwick County. This promises to be memorable event.

Tickets are only $12.00 per person.

The city council’s purchase of a five-acre parcel for $140,000 is the first step forward in the South Broadway Corridor Plan.

“It’s exciting to be moving forward with the development plan,” said Carol Neugent, director of governmental services. “We’re not sure what we’ll use the property for, but it has potential for industrial or light commercial frontage.”

New Alzheimer’s Caregiver Support Group In Haysville

The Alzheimer’ s Association Central and Western Kansas Office is pleased to announce a new caregiver support group beginning in February 2012 for individuals caring for someone with Alzheimer’s or a related dementia. The group is to be held at the Haysville Senior Center located at 160 E Karla in Haysville, Kansas, on the Third Thursday of every month at 2:00pm.
