On November 17, Prairie Elementary School students Jacob (2nd grade), Zoe (1st grade) and Ethan Woodrome (4th grade) were interviewed by KAKE reporter Jared Cerullo in one of the school’s classrooms for a story about the children of members of the military. The children did not know that just prior to the start of the interview, their father, Keith Woodrome, had landed at McConnell Air Force Base after five months in Southwest Asia and he was headed to Haysville to surprise them. (Photo 1) When the door to the classroom opened and the children saw their father, they could hardly contain their excitement.
