Sedgwick County Commissioners are considering a proposal to build a new $2 million fire station in Haysville.
The fire station sitting at 71st street south and West street is 30 years old. County firefighters believe its day is done.
“We have old plumbing old wiring and old connections and so were trying to save money in the long run and preventive wise,” said county fire chief Gary Curmode.
