Youth Firecracker Parade
July 3rd, 6:00 pm, FREE
All children ages 0-12 are invited to participate and are encouraged to wear costumes, decorate their bikes, strollers and wagons, etc. The parade will go through Riggs park, beginning and ending at the sidewalk along Sarah Lane. Line-up begins at 5:45 pm.
Children under six should be accompanied by an adult. The parade will conclude with a parachute launch, refreshments and treat bags.
Citizen of the Year Announcement
July 3rd, 6:45 pm
The Citizen of the Year Award will be presented to this year’s recipient at the Band Shelter. The award is given to a citizen of Haysville who has greatly contributed to the community in the past year.
Concert by Rain
July 3rd, 7:00 – 10:00 pm, FREE
Come enjoy this free concert and dance the night away! Rain plays the good-time songs you remember, mostly from the 60’s and 70’s. The band prides itself on not just playing music, but putting on an interactive show; a great mix of outstanding musicianship and just plain fun!
Activities in the Park

A food vendor will be serving up tasty dinner and snack options and you can register to win great prizes!
Coed Sand Volleyball Tournament
July 4th, All Day, $15/Team
The tournament will be played at the sand volleyball court near the Dewey Gunzelman Memorial Swimming Pool. All participants must be at least 16 years old. Teams must have an equal or greater number of women on the court at all times. This is a double elimination tournament. Register by Monday, June 27 at the Haysville Activity Center.
Independence Day Parade
July 4th, 9:00 am
The Parade will begin on Grand Avenue at the old Senior Center and end at the old Middle School. Register by June 27 at Haysville
Activity Center. Prizes will be awarded. This event is sponsored by the Haysville Chamber of Commerce.
All-American Fishing Derby
July 4th, 10:00 am, FREE
Join us in one of America’s favorite pastimes – fishing at Riggs Pond! Prizes will be awarded. Registration begins at 9:30 am.
Frog Races
July 4th, 11:30 am, FREE
Kids, if you find a frog or toad this summer, keep it and race it in Haysville’s fourth annual FROG RACES!! Races will be divided by age group. The winning frogs will get a prize! Pre-register at the Haysville Activity Center.
Head to the pool for hotdogs after the races!
Raft Races at the Pool
July 4th, 12:30 pm
Kids, you won’t want to miss this new wet ‘n wild event! You’ll race other kids your age on a raft up and back the length of the pool. Prizes will be awarded. Rafts will be provided. Bring a non-perishable food item or buy a daily pool pass to participate. Pre-register at the HAC.
Water Carnival at the Pool
July 4th, 1:00 – 6:00 pm
You won’t want to miss out on a chance to swim at the Dewey Gunzelman Memorial Swimming Pool for FREE! All we ask is that each person brings one non-perishable food item for the Haysville Food Bank. There will be games with prizes!!!
Fireworks
