HAPPY NEW YEAR!
May this new year bring you even more bicycle fun then the last!
New Years Day the Coasters will be having a pot-luck dinner 1:00pm at the Park Villa shelter in Riverside Park (Map). The building is heated and has electricity.
Ham sandwiches will be provided. Any food and/or drinks you would like to bring would be appreciated.
If the weather is half way decent bring your bike to putt around the park.
Hope to see you there!
A date has been selected for the 2008 Art Of The Bicycle show.
Mark your calendars for Friday, July 25th.
We will have more information on the 2008 show at a later time.
“My chrome is shining just like an icicle I ride around town on my low-rider bicycle.” Beastie Boys
Meet at the Shamrock at 7:00pm. After a beverage we’ll head West instead of the usual East and ride to and through the Lights On St Paul Christmas lights display. This is about a 1 mile ride from the Shamrock. After we’ll head back East and stop at the Vagabond for a warm drink if needed. Then on to Downtown and Old Town to check out the lights there.
Plan to ride no matter what the weather. Dig out your parka, ski mask, mittens and a tank top just in case (you never know).
Decorate your bike if you like.
Some of the bike people are having a camping get-together on October 19th, 20th and 21st at Harvey County Lake East. Come out for the weekend or just for a day.
Click here for info on the lake.
A vote was taken and it was decided that the Thursday of or before Halloween will be the Halloween Pub Pedal or “Hallowheelie” which I think either Jack or Erick has coined it.
Wear a costume and decorate your bike.
A few of us attended the Peddlers Swap Meet and Show in Independence, Missouri today. It sprinkled off and on through out the day but that didn’t stop us from having a good time. Dan took 1st place in both the custom and people’s choice category. Lora took 2nd place in both the custom and people’s choice category. Nova came home with a new old bike.
Thanks to Rick for putting on a nice show and swap.
