We will be riding in the Riverfest Sundown Parade again this year.

When: Friday May 9th. The parade starts at 6:30pm. Be there no later then 6:00pm. The parade rules actually state you must be there by 5:30pm. Give yourself plenty of time to find parking, unload your bike and find our staging location.
Where: Our staging location is section 3 which is on the East side of Main street between 2nd and Elm. Look for your fellow Coasters or ask a parade official for our (Coasters Bicycle Club) exact location.
What To Do: Purchase a Riverfest button in advance (Quiktrips sell them). Parade participants are required to wear them.
Wear a brightly patterned shirt and maybe even a hat of some kind.
As we’ve done in other parades, we’ll ride in a big left turning circle or oval, moving in a forward direction.
Ride sensibly.
What Not To Do: No alcohol. Save it for after the parade.
No handing out candy, literature etc…

Pub Pedal group at the Courthouse Exchange restaurant.

Eight of us from Wichita attended the Peddlers show and swap Sunday in Independence, Missouri. Saturday evening some of us went for a Pub Pedal around the historic Independence Square. It was a great weekend! Thanks to Rick and the Spokesman for being such gracious hosts and showing us a good time.

Erick R will be going in for surgery shortly and won’t be able to ride for a quite a while after the operation. Let’s get together this Friday (29th) for a little Pub Pedal fun with Erick to help lift his spirits.
Why Friday and not the usual Thursday you ask?
Well the temperature looks pretty good for Friday plus it’s Leap Day. The chance to Pub Pedal on the 29th of February only comes around once every 4 years.

The usual place and time – Shamrock at 7:00pm.

Oh and I just realized it’s also Final Friday.
