1st Street Bike Lane

New 1st street bike lane. It begins at the canal bike path (under 135) and follows 1st street East ending as of now just a couple blocks West of Oliver. The signage is up all the way to Oliver.
According to an older post here this bike lane and one like it on 2nd street would be a trial and may not be permanent.

As seen in the photo, drivers either don’t know how or don’t care to share the road with the new bike lanes. It’s a fundamental rule of driving. Don’t cross a solid white or yellow line.

2010 Fall Gravity Shoot-Out

Not a great turn out but still a great time. Was probably the hottest (temperature) race to date but no wind.
As always, thanks to…
Those who participated, spectated, brought food. Thad for providing the hay bales and especially those who provided and/or drove the tow vehicles.

Some of the speeds in MPH…
Mitch – Rust Rocket trike: 31.1
Randy – Thad’s Second Wind: 31.2
Randy – G-Thang: 23.909
Randy – Ray’s bike” 25.8
Randy – Tim’s bike: 24.2
Note: there seemed to be discrepancies between GPS devices and speeds were taken from various starting points.
