For more than 22 years, people in Wichita have helped the Bicycle Pedaler donate between 250 to 400 bicycles annually to Toys for Tots.
The Bicycle Pedaler, 330 N. Rock Road, is once again accepting used bicycles and tricycles for the Marine Corps? annual Toys for Tots campaign.

After meeting up for food and beverage at Club Billiards we rode over to Century II to see the classic silent film Phantom Of The Opera with a live soundtrack performed by Jim Riggs on Wichita’s historic Wurlitzer organ. Both Mr Riggs and the organ were amazing. Following the movie we went for a night cap at the Vagabond.

Beautiful day yesterday at the Midwest Genealogical Society’s October Jubilee. We had a good time showing, talking and riding the old bikes. Thanks to those who came out!
What: Toys for Tots Bicycle Ride
When: Sunday, Nov. 6th at 2:00PM
Where: The Exploration Place Parking Lot/300 N. McLean Blvd
Cost: A new toy
Ride from Exploration Place to Sedgwick County Park 6.5 miles.
The Marines will meet riders at the park shelter to collect toys. Cookies and Cocoa will be served at the park. Riders are asked to bring, on their bicycle a new and unwrapped toy. The shop van will be available to carry any reluctant toys and assist riders. This year Toys for Tots are in need toys for older girls and ask that no books be donated please. Remember to dress warm and have appropriate lighting. (Or strap a glowing reindeer onto you handle bars.)
Saturday just got even better. Classic bike show during the day and a ride to see the classic silent film Phantom Of The Opera in the evening.
Saturday, October 22nd
Meet at Club Billiards (925 W. Douglas) 6:00pm.
From there we’ll ride to Century II for the 7:00pm showing of the classic silent horror film Phantom Of The Opera with a live soundtrack performed by Jim Riggs on the Wichita Wurlitzer.
Free popcorn.
Tickets are $5 and available at Tom Sawyer Bicycle Shop or at the door.
You might want to bring a lock for your bike.
