Julyapalooza is an event being put on by the
Midwest Historical and Genealogical Society on Saturday, July 10th from 11:00am to 3:00pm at 1203 N. Main (right on the Midtown bike path). We've been asked to display our vintage bicycles along side vintage cars and motorcycles. There will also be a genealogy book and materials sale, tours of their library, a hot dog vendor and hourly drawings.
This event is for antique bikes only. I need to know in advance if you are participating. Only bikes that are 60s vintage or older, restored, original (or as close to original that the general public wouldn't know the difference). The bikes will be displayed outside and yes it will probably be hot. I'll provide shade and cold drinks. You may also just drop your bike(s) off and go hide somewhere cool. We do need a couple people to stay and answer questions. This event will give us a chance to spread bicycle love to a new audience, presumably those interested in history.
Let me know if you would like to participate and I'll fill you in on the details.

I believe the plan this year w as to have fewer bikes on disp lay so they could be better di splayed. Also bikes that haven 't been in the show before whi ch would narrow it down quite a bit.
