What: The Midwest Bicycle Fest is a free, family friendly event open to the public.
Come show, view and ride bicycles of all types including Antiques, Choppers,
Lowriders, Kustoms and the odd & unusual. Vote for your favorite bike. The
winner receives the Peoples Choice award.
Where: Centered around the bike path in Riggs Park in Haysville, Ks.
Bikes will be on display around the Timberlane shelter at the corner of Park &
Timberlane streets. The city of Haysville is just South of Wichita, exit 39 on
the Kansas Turnpike (I35). Click Here for a Map.
Participating: You are doing so at your own risk. Just like any other picnic or bike ride in the park.
Don'ts: Alcohol is not allowed in the park nor is (openly) buying and selling of stuff.
Showing your bike(s) is easy! Just show up and claim a spot. Bikes will be displayed on the grass. You might want to bring a lawn chair and beverage. No alcohol is allowed in the park! Be sure you have a way to display your bikes. If the bike doesn't have a kickstand, bring some sort of stand to keep it upright. Feel free to tag your bikes with year, make, kustom details, before pictures etc... Decide ahead of time if you will allow others to ride your bike(s) if you are asked.
Entering your bike in the Peoples Choice competition.
We will be giving out 2 "Peoples Choice" awards. Categories are Classic and Kustom. For a $1 donation you will receive a numbered tag to hang from your bike(s) handlebars. The winner will be awarded a trophy. In the case of a tie, the winner will be chosen randomly from those that tied. We plan on giving out the award around 2:00 so please be present if you've entered a bike. If the winner is not present, the trophy will go to the runner up.
All donations are used to cover the costs of the prizes, food, trophies, park rental etc...
