We've been asked to participate in the Bikes For Tots Parade next Saturday, December 6th at 2:00pm. This parade is to celebrate the accomplishments of the Bikes For Tots campaign. You can view the bikes the Coasters donated here.
The parade/ride will start at the Seneca Street Bar and Grill (3837 S Seneca) and ends at Club DebRicks on South Broadway (approx 2 miles). Meet at 1:30pm at the Seneca Street Bar and Grill. Drinks and free food will be available at Club DebRicks after the parade.

Thank you everyone for your generous contributions to the Bikes For Tots fund! We will be donating these 2 bicycles, plus a lock for each.

May these gifts from us start a life long love of bicycles for their recipients.

Kind of late notice but someone decided tonight that next Thursday will be a turkey trot/ride. Do something in a Thanksgiving theme. Decorate yourself and or your bike.

Great weather and a good turn out for the annual Halloween ride. A lot of neat and creative costumes and bikes. There was also live music performed by the Phantom of the Opera and a dance performance by the lovely Marcia Brady.

"The Midtown bike path will run more than one mile, from the intersection of Central and Wichita Streets, north along Wichita Street to 9th Street, and then northeast in the former Union Pacific Railroad Corridor to 15th near Broadway. The $1.35 million project will provide a 10-foot wide bicycle path with decorative entrance arches at both 8th and 15th Streets, and a plaza with clock tower and drinking fountain in Otis Park at 13th and Market. More than 300 trees and shrubs will be planted along the path. Minor storm sewer work will also occur at various points along the path."

This was the 2nd year for this event but the first time attending for the Coasters. We started off by riding in the parade which went up and back down the dirt Main street. After the parade we displayed the bikes, watched the local entertainment, ate and some of us took a historic bus tour of Partridge. Lora, Steve and myself even brought home trophies for our bikes. As always we had a great time! Thanks Jay for inviting us.

We will be purchasing a cool bike to donate on behalf of the Coasters to this cause. If you would like to donate you can do so through PayPal below or donate to me in person.
I will be at the Shamrock Thursday the 13th accepting donations. Even if you don't ride that night please come by if you would like to contribute. Any little bit will help plus you get to ride in the parade!

Bikes For Tots is an organization that collects new bicycles to give to the Salvation Army and local Police who then give these bikes to kids in need at Christmas time. The Coasters have been asked if we'd like to contribute.

For the first time in four years we didn't have 30mph winds or rain. Instead this year we got heat. Despite the 88 degree temperature it was still a great time.

Tonight we met up at Century II and rode as a group to the Shamrock as a gesture of support for our friend Erick and his battle against cancer. At the Shamrock we had pizza except for Erick who had fish as the pizza had all been eaten by the time he arrived.

The Coasters have been invited to ride in the Kansas Firefighters Museum Parade on Saturday, October 11th 2:00pm. The parade starts at Broadway and Pawnee and heads North on Broadway where it will end at the Immanuel Baptist Church parking lot at 1415 S. Topeka where the Firetrucks will then be on display.

Meet at the Wal-Mart parking lot at 1:30pm if you are participating.

Saturday, October 18th in Partridge, KS.
Part of the Partridge Family Fest.
Everything is on Main ST.
7:30-9:30 Sausage and Pancakes at Partridge Church.
9:30 -9:45 Sign in for parade on South end of Main.
10:00 Parade.
11:00-1:00 Meal served to button wearers $5.00 ADULT $2.00 KIDS.
